I purchased my first pair of Vasque Breeze boots about 4 years ago and I LOVED them from the moment I put them on. They have been durable and held up well. After all this time I've been looking to buy a second pair but the price kept going up and up...until I found them here for a third of the pri...

I've been using these boots for about four months for work purposes, mainly walking short hikes and the like. They did just fine, though I noticed they weren't especially cushioned or comfortable. They're somewhat annoying to put on/take off, as you have to loosen the laces all the way down rather than just undo the top few.
However, I just took them on a 37-miler trip through Big Bend and both my feet were enormous blisters by the end - toes, heels, the whole shabang. Granted, some of it may have been due to the first day being extremely rainy, and the boots got wet and stayed damp through the entire trip. But no matter how I taped my toes or how often I changed my socks, I have never felt such pain as hiking in these boots, especially downhill.
So, good for short hikes, and DRY hikes. But if your feet get wet, Heaven help you.

This is a beautiful , stylish, well constructed boot.
However we sent it straight back because of the short length.
My daughter is a 9-9.5 and her toes were cramped and touching the end.
Too bad. There were other similar Vasque boots available fromSTP
So we are giving those a try since the brand is very good quality.
The Vasque Breeze Lite Gore-Tex® Hiking Boots are made with a waterproof breathable membrane, so they will be great warm weather hiking boots

They are very light and with light socks I think they would be perfect...think of a running shoe (real ones from the running store...not heavy ones) the only difference is the ankle coverage/support...

I like Vasque and Keen is another good brand to look at.

Buy a pair of Vasque Breeze Lite Gore-Tex Hiking Boots / Waterproof; reasonable arch support and good ankle support; bought for my wife whose high arch makes most performance shoes/boots IMPOSSIBLE - these worked well for her (ordered 1/2 size larger in medium with merino wool socks (light-weight). Good luck and have fun.

I would recommend going with a 10 and this boot should meet all of your other requirements. Vasque is generally a slightly narrower brand and has a slightly narrower heel. It will be waterproof and keep you dry as long as you keep things out of the top.

No. Saucony is known for its width for comfortableness, this boot is neither wide nor comfortable. It is not waterproof, either. Save your money for a product upgrade!

I like Asolos as well. The FSN 70 Gore-Tex boot may be a good choice Item #72554. Also the Vasque Mica Gore Tex boot, #75801, would be a good choice. Both of these will be a sturdier upper than the Breeze listed above. The Breeze though is a good quality shoe that is light weight with a Vibram sole. Vasque usually tens to run a little narrower and longer than most brands as well. I would read the reviews.

The Briza is made of full grain leather which is more durable that the synthetic that this shoe is made of. Also the build of the shoes is slightly different where the ankle support lace goes through is slightly different. They are similar with being light hikers though.
