This suit fits well, though I bought a size larger than usual. I thought the pink color might be too overwhelming, but the tone on tone and black leaf accents tone it down a lot. I like the conservative leg and front cuts with the low waist back. The price was a third of the same suit from a swimsuit dealer at the pool!

I'm 5'2" and 130#. My old "size 10" swimsuit is too big on me since I lost weight, so I ordered a 10 in Dolfin, thinking it was a "size up" as others warned to do. I also ordered a 12 Dolfin in another color. The 12 fits - tightly, but I'll keep it. The size 10, NO WAY did it fit. So order TWO sizes up. I think Dolfin uses the "old sizes," before women's clothing companies dumbed down their sizes to make women feel better about their size 12 (now "size 8") bodies. I can wear a 4, 6, and 8 in jeans now, but if I try on a really old pair at a thrift store, it's a 12 or 14! Feeling a little confused about sizes these days!

I haven't used this suit yet,, but have ordered others in this brand from STP. I do water exercise four or more days a week and my swim suits don't last long. The Dofin suits run small. I normally wear a 16, and can squeeze into that size in a Dolfin, but the 18 is a more comfortable fit. I like the back style and that higher neckline. I also love the color and pattern of this suit.

This was a top notch high quality suit. Unfortunately, I couldn't even get it on. I have quite a bit of high end technical gear and often the sizes in this clothing run small, so I ordered a size bigger than I wear in everything else. It was still too small, and not just by a little bit. I know there is variation in how things fit different people, but this suit is off by a long shot.

Comfortable when on but harder to pull on and off. Very nice lining. Overall good suit for aquatic classes.

  • Question “two people have asked if the suit is fully lined. I have a dolfin from 2 yrs ago that has been great for laps, so assume this is constructed the same. I would like to know if the leg opening is low (bad) or shaped somewhat higher (better). thanks.”
Asked on 1/23/2010 12:00:00 AM by annbee from boulder
    • Answer The suit is full lined and has the shelf bra. Leg cut is higher.
Answered on 1/27/2010 12:00:00 AM by Moli from WI
    • Answer The suit is lined.|For me, the leg opening is perfect. Being tall and long waisted, it does not ride up on me. I hate wearing suits that I am constantly tugging down on.
Answered on 3/25/2010 12:00:00 AM by Lynnie from Cary, NC
    • Answer yes, it is lined and the leg opening looks much lower in the picture than reality. The suit does not have a super high leg opening, but it does not go straight across as it appears in the photo.

  • Question “Is this suit lined??? Does it have a soft cup bra or shelf bra? Is the leg cut conservative???||thanks,||JZ”
Asked on 1/16/2010 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from whitefish bay wi
    • Answer It is not cut like the Ocean Conservative Lap Suit. It is cut a little higher
Answered on 1/27/2010 12:00:00 AM by Moli from WI
    • Answer The suit is fully lined with a shelf bra. The leg cut is fairly conservative. Overall, the suit is designed for someone who wants to swim laps in a suit that stays put, not for someone who wants to prance around the pool to get attention.||Definitely order a size up.
