My fourth purchase of this style. I teach water aerobics and love the conservative cut and long-lasting fabric. I get about a year out of these suits.
Typical to the polyester fabric, you may need a larger size as there is not the stretch that is found in lycra/spandex suits.
Glad to see them back i... Read More

OUCH! Was looking for a really simply suit to wear for aqua PT...tried three sizes (I'm an 8 in "regular" clothes) tried 10, 12 and 14, based on other reviews to order up. I struggled to get the suit on since the straps have no clasp. Once I wiggled it up the leg openings were so tight they almost cut off the circulation in my legs! Unless you have twigs or toothpicks for legs, and NO curves whatsoever, you will not like the fit of this suit. I loved the fabric, the pattern, and did like the modest cut of the legs - the openings just need to be wider for my shape. I'm a pear with 36" hips. I tried the same suit with a clasp . It was much easier to get over my hips, but had the same problem with the leg openings. Sadly, going back :(

Glad I read the reviews and took the advice to order up. I normally wear a 12 but I have a long torso. I ordered a 16 and it fits well. I like the fabric, the cut of the legs and the pattern. Great buy.

This suit runs very small. We purchased a conservative and moderate swimsuit in the same size. The Conservative Aquashape suit fit perfectly, but this suit felt and looked like it was 2 sizes smaller than the other. I suggest you order up in this suit. We will be returning it for another Conservative suit.

Too baggy with very low cut legs that are tight. Just not right.

While I am satisfied with my purchase, the fitting process was a bit cumbersome. I took my measurements per the Sierra Trading guide: I'm a tad over 5'4"; weigh 122-124; measure 35/28/37; "C" cup in bras. I typically wear size 6's in this new era of "vanity" sizing; however, I believe I am truly a size 8,

Even the sizing guidelines are not entirely foolproof. They indicated I should order up and so I did: the size 8 was too small. And so I exchanged for a size 10--what I would consider a "true" size. Still, the top end of my bathing suit could probably be more comfortable (or a 12), but then how would that fit at the bottom? Given the material, I think I could get away with it. So I would recommend going up 2 sizes IF your measurements mirror a busty and nicely full/wide hip bottom.

The conundrum I (we customers) face is asking, "is the manufacturer following the new "vanity sizing" or a true method?" Even if you use STP's fitting guidelines, you and I still face getting it wrong. And so I am writing this review.

Because this material feels more "tight" with less give than spandex, it is less likely to stretch out any time soon...I think.. The suit was not available in a 12 and so I will keep the 10 b/c it is okay. Besides, I had to meet a deadline: water play with grandkids and lap swimming on my down time..
