Using these to wear over my regular pants while bike commuting. Light weight and come off and on over shoes, so they work well.

My husband will use these this Summer in Alaska with leggings underneath. They are great and definitely keep you dry. I have the women's version and they are quite comfortable. If it is very warm out and raining there is going to be some sweating inside but not so much that your clothes are wet. It is a trade off ...in heavy downpours these are the answer.

Do we really need more excellent reviews of these pants? My 2nd pair. That should tell you how much I like them.

I was looking for a waterproof pant to go along with my Marmot Pre-Cip rain jacket. I initially tried the full-zip version but the size medium was a "loose" fit for me and without a drawstring would be a bad idea. Not as "packable" as the Pat-, but for the price it's well worth it. Four stars because I haven't had the chance to test them out because of the lack of rain we've been getting in California.

I used these pants this past weekend on a rainy day. They kept me very dry and warm and seemed to breath very well. I gave it only 4 stars because of the noise. Nothing is ever perfect; there are always trade-offs and I understand this. They appear to do what they were designed for very well. You won't be any stealthy-ninja type in them however.

I have 30in inseam and 33in waist. It made sense to order the 34in waist, but there was no data on inseam. I bought the regular and the length was clearly too long for me... possibly 32"?

Marmot does have length options on their site, but the models listed in STP do not have that information so I assume they are all 32"

The pre-cips do sound a bit crunchy.. maybe I'll consider something along the lines of a softshell or hybrid pant.
