Using these to wear over my regular pants while bike commuting. Light weight and come off and on over shoes, so they work well.

I loved them. I used them to cycle during rainy days. The seat seam ripped along the backside. Due to their construction, they are not really repairable yourself. You have to stitch them but here is also a plastic flap that overlaps and that has work through as well.

Keeps the rain out. Fit is as advertised. Would wish for easier "over the shoe" taking-off and putting-on.

  • Question “Is this the most recent/updated model?”

Asked on 2/1/2016 12:37:56 AM by cuiquentin from Florida
    • Answer No, they are not the newest model. These are not the full zip rain pants.

    • Answer I do not know which pants you are looking at, but I am only aware of two style of PreCip pants: full length side zippers & partial lower leg zipper. I am able to fit a 9.5 size boot through the partial zippers. I hope this helps?

    • Answer There is no lining. They are not noisy like typical nylon pants--possibly a slight sound. I got these for my husband with 34 inch waist and medium was a good fit

    • Answer No liner and I would imagine sneaking up on someone is impossible.

I do think a 34 would fit in the M well. I'm at 31/32 and they are a loose enough for layering.
Answered on 11/20/2015 3:44:50 PM by Farhomthat from Central IL
    • Answer There is no real lining inside. I have worn them in the rain over shorts while hiking and they feel fine against the skin. Not sure how they would feel if running. I certainly did not have any issues hiking for a couple of hours with them on. They do make some noise, but nothing too bad. Definitely not silent though. I wear a 35 waist and medium is a perfect fit. Tried large and they were way too big. Also tried my son's smalls and while they fit (I'm 5'-11"), they were a little too small. The legs tend to be a little wide, so you may want to consider a running specific pant.

    • Answer No lining, the white beathable waterproof film is bonded to the outer material, not a separate layer. They will make a lot of noise running, they have a somewhat loose fit to go over long pants, so the legs will rub plus the inner film is a bit stiff, similar to gore tex and crinkles when you move. Pants made for running or the right x-c skiing or biking pants would be better. A 34 waist will be a somewhat loose fit, the drawstring will tighten fine and there will be plenty of stretch left in the waist band, definitely not a tight fit at 34.

    • Answer Hmm those are good questions

      1. No inner lining... And you do sweat in the with a lot of activity. Used them hiking up mountains in norway in the rain... I was sweating and the dont breathe the greatest.

      2. They rustle a lot and make this weird farting noise when you crouch down as the air eascapes thru the bottom of the pants legs

      3. Sizing.. According to the sizing chart you are right on the cusp of medium and large .. Im female with 27 in waist and 30 in hips.and wear a medium but they r baggy. My husband wears 32" 32" size mens pants and mediums fit him well with pants underneath... You may need a large but would probably need to cinch the waist tight

    • Answer I will suggest that you choose XL.

    • Answer L
Answered on 11/17/2015 2:18:04 AM by tianjj from DELAWARE
    • Answer They should, may be a bit too big in a L, depends on how much room you want. My waist is 36 measured over pants, about 34 without, and size M fits me perfectly, not tight, not loose, with plently of stretch in the waist left. The drawstring has to be used to keep them up. Size L would be very floppy on me and tend to drop, I'm sure. My inseam is 31 and the length is good too, maybe a touch too long. The pants fit a bit tighter on me than the Precip jacket.

    • Answer I ordered Size Mens Medium. I am female, I have a 32 inch waist and 37 inch hips. The mediums are large and very baggy on me I am able to wear them over my jeans. I originally ordered smalls and had to send them back because they were too tight in the hips. Dependent upon the sizing chart if you are at the top edge for sizing you may want to order up. It is not too hard to exchange the item if needed but I know it is nicer to get the size right the first time.
Answered on 11/17/2015 10:49:11 AM by Keri hike ski bike swim kayak from Wisconsin
    • Answer I would recommend the large. I'm 5'10' and the length was good also. The waist on the XL would probably be too big.

  • Question “What is the total length of size Med”

Asked on 3/30/2015 10:55:48 PM by Gennadiy from Kiev
    • Answer From the crotch to the end of the leg is 32" as measured on 3/31/15. Hope that helps. FYI, I normally wear 30" length and the 32" length gives me no problem due there being pull cords at the end of each leg that you can snug.

  • Question “What size would fit a women who takes a size 16 in pants in general and is 5'10''? ”

Asked on 8/8/2013 2:05:24 PM by Headed to Alaska Fishing from New Jersey
    • Answer The pants are sized according to waist size. Sizing charts generally put a size 16 waist at 33-35". That would make you either a Medium or a Large.
If you hover your mouse over or click on the sizes the waist sizes are displayed. I.E. Sizes Available: M (Waist 31-33) Sizes Available: L (Waist 34-36).

  • Question “What is the inseam measurement of the small, medium, and large sizes? Thanks!”

Asked on 10/2/2012 12:00:00 AM by Mister Cliff from The Midwest
    • Answer I don't know the exact answer but I can tell you the XL's in my opinion were way long. I am a 32" inseam and these weren't even close to fitting in the length. Maybe 4" too long. Hope this helps.
