I'm just getting back into climbing and I really like these shoe. I've done my first multi-pitch climb in these shoes at Tuolumne Meadows and they held up great and were really comfortable throughout the climb. I do decent amount of gym climbing as well and I trust them with everything. Overall a great starter shoe, not sure about high level climbers

Well made shoe, but size runs small. Ordered my "normal" size for a lined shoe and couldn't even get foot all the way in. But with proper size would be nice shoe for long climbs.

  • Question “how thick is the sole?”
Asked on 2/2/2010 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • Answer The sole of this shoe is a very stiff board, but the thickness is a normal Vibram sole. Very durable.
Answered on 4/19/2010 12:00:00 AM by Customer Care from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer Thin. The midsole is Texon, the outer sole is Vibram XSGrip, with a very fine Taibrelle lining on the inside. All said, about 5/8 of an inch. The rubber is 1/8" and the inner is 1/4". Thicker at ball, heel, and toe where a second layer is added.||Don't buy these for approach shoes if that is what you are thinking.
