Lately Sierra Trading Post service becomes dubious. The waist size of the pants was ok, but the inseam was 2 inch longer than ordered (although the Sierra label itself stated the shorter length). It cost me additional $10 to shorten its length.

Lighter alternative to denim, but might need a touch of ironing if you want to look as crisp as the pictures. Roomy fit, sturdy construction, bargain pricing.

My husband has been doing construction for 25 years. He used to wear jeans until I discovered these light weight great fitting work pants. They are great for working in the heat and rain. The pants are cooler and will dry quicker if they become weight. The pants are also very attractive and can be worn comfortably for dress. My husband keeps a couple of pairs for his Sunday dress. I have convinced my son-in-law, his father, our friends and their sons that this or the way to go work work. I didn't have to do any selling after they wore the pants one time. They are great fit for all sizes! We will never go back to the jeans for work! We have never had a problem from ordering from your sight. The quality of your product and fit has been very acceptable! The cost is almost $10.00 cheaper, great savings! Thanks for having such a great product!

  • Question “How wide are the pant legs at the bottom?”
Asked on 6/3/2014 11:12:20 PM by Tim from CA
    • Answer They are 9 and 1/2 inches wide folded flat.
Answered on 6/4/2014 5:21:13 AM by Dan from atlanta
    • Answer I would have to say boot cut, my husband has no problem getting them over his boots. There is no way he would wear straight cut his legs muscles are to big from all his walking and physical work. he really like the cut and fit well, as for washing the hold up well but do wrinkle so getting them out of the dryer quickly will help reduce that.

    • Answer I do not know the exact measurements, but the leg bottoms are very roomy, they will fit over boots

    • Answer Husband wears them with lace work boots & the pants still stack
Answered on 6/4/2014 9:24:29 AM by amy from ca
    • Answer They are similar to a "boot cut" pant leg
Answered on 6/4/2014 10:39:21 PM by DeeDoo22 from Rocklin, CA
    • Answer The pants are not tapered like a boot cut at bottom, if that helps. My boyfriend works in an office for a utility company and absolutely swears by these pants! He wears them to work and then can come home and work outside without changing. Super comfortable! Great price!
Answered on 6/5/2014 4:49:38 AM by Butter from North Carolina
    • Answer Approximately about 6-7 inches seam to seam at the bottom of the pant leg
Answered on 6/5/2014 3:32:31 PM by Josh H. from Englewood, CO
    • Answer I would call these 'wide-leg' or 'boot-cut' at the ankle- certainly not a tight fit. But, a comfortable fit without looking like baggy pants.

    • Answer They fit well over my work boots and hiking boots,
Answered on 6/5/2014 6:41:44 PM by BMK Asolo from Tennesssee
    • Answer They are straight-leg, but not a 'peg-leg.' (As in they don't get noticeably narrower at the bottom. Basically, they're consistently wide from about the thigh-down, and not bell-bottoms. You can probably pull them on over moccasins or something like that, maybe even some tennis shoes, but not a larger shoe or boot.
Answered on 6/5/2014 7:01:52 PM by Michigan Mark from Grand Rapids, MI
    • Answer Without actually getting my tape out, I would say a good 6 to 8 inches when flat. Wide enough for my boots which are the 6 inchers.

    • Answer I wear a 36x30 size and the bottom circumference measures 18", which sounds like a lot but isn't. I wear work boots with mine and they don't flare out like bell-bottoms or even boot cut pants do, they look similar to a relaxed fit jean at the boot collar. Hope this helps....I think you'll like the fit, they're some of the most comfortable pants I own.

    • Answer Most Carhartt pants sit above the waist line, these are pretty much right on the waist.
Answered on 3/3/2011 12:00:00 AM by Tucker777 from Far North California
    • Answer I would say that my pants sit right on or just above the waist. I wear an exact 36x30 and these pants hit it better than any other pant I've ever worn. It's almost a shame they call these "Work Jeans" as they fit like high quality, semi-casual slacks. Definitely no plumber's crack here.
