Pants hang tag says "short inseam." Please keep that in mind. They are a true 29' inseam. I am 5'3, weigh 120 pounds. My hips are 36, waist is 28. These fit perfect for me. They are not form fitting, they are somewhat boxy. There is plenty of room in the hip/waist for another inch easily. To be happ... Read More

I bought these pants knowing the waist size, but not knowing they had a short inseam. Luckily, they should work out well for me or my daughter. In the future, it would be good to know length as part of the size if it's variable.

I love these pants so much I immediately ordered another pair for my daughter. I wore these on a 6 mile snowshoeing hike at 9,000 ft in 23 degree weather with nothing else but undergarments. They were so warm - if I had worn a base layer I would have taken it off. I love the deep zippered pockets and cushiony feel to these pants.

length is great, and waistband fits well for those of us that are not tiny in the waist.

I am 5'5", 120#, and got a Woman's size small. They are a perfect fit. They do fit around the waist and not the hips, so be prepared for that. This feature does insure that tops will stay tucked in, for guaranteed warmth. Easily fit over tights, zippered leg ends for fitting over boots. There are waist adjustable velcro straps on the side, great feature. Good pockets. Very glad I got them.

Too small in the waist and big in the thigh. Also seemed too bulky. I was looking for pants that are more fitted. I'm going to return them

Great pants.. Keeps you very warm. I put on a thin base layer underwear and these pants and never get cold. Even in temps of -10 degrees below zero. This is my second pair so I have a backup. Not too bulky as I walk a husky up to2 hrs. with ease.

    • Answer I have purchased these for that exact purpose although I haven't been able to do any snowshoeing this season. I have tried them on and feel that they will be fine for snowshoeing. They are flexible and lightweight and should work.
Answered on 2/12/2015 1:41:22 PM by Cindy from Wyoming
    • Answer They are flexible but not elastic/stretchy. They are probably not the very most breathable cold weather pants, either. They worked beautifully for downhill skiing. I would certainly wear them snowshoeing but they would not be my first choice for hiking.
Answered on 2/12/2015 2:02:57 PM by Utah mom from Salt Lake City
    • Answer These are much more baggy than they look in the stock photo, and on the short side. I think they could be good for a beginner snowshoer or ski/snowboard in very cold temps, but they're too warm if you're really active. I would spring for a basic soft shell pant for your needs.
Answered on 2/12/2015 8:22:17 PM by Kelsey from Washington
    • Answer These pants are quite baggy. I'm 5'7 and 150 and they're a hair short on me but not horrible.

    • Answer Lorrie, I bought these pants for my 18-year-old daughter who is 5'4." I asked her if she could answer your questions and she said she could not. I didn't see the pants on her. I did take them out of the box and they looked to me like your basic snow pants--not particularly slim-fitting--but I can't say for sure. Sorry not to be more help.
Answered on 12/6/2014 7:56:46 PM by Sheryl from North Carolina
    • Answer Hey Lorrie,
i am about the same size and they're not SUPER slim but they're not supper baggy either...I am using them for snowboarding so I wanted a little give but if you're looking for legging slim then you may want to look at a different item.

I like that they will go over my boots and hang on my waste.

      Hope this helps.

    • Answer Yes, these run true to size. If at any time the Sierra Trading Post shoe experts determine that a shoe does not fit exactly as the manufacturer claims, they add a "size note" at the end of the irregularly sized shoe. A size note will indicate to buy a slightly larger or smaller shoe than the size you expect to normally fit you.|There is also 3 reviews none of which mention any sizing issues.
