Answer The Haglofs Ridge Windstopper® Jacket is an Active Shell. An Active Shell is the lightest, most packable garment that Windstopper offers( very similar to a soft shell). It does not have pit zips or a powder skirt. I hope this helps.

Answer The Haglofs Ridge Windstopper® Jacket does have the ability to repel water and it could be worn on warmer ski days

Question “What is the difference between this jacket and the Haglofs Talus Windstopper® Jacket - Soft Shell (For Women) ??? Is one more water resistant than the other??? Thanks”

Answer The Talus is Nylon and the Ridge is Polyester with a PTFE membrane, they have different pockets, they both have simular water resitent properties. The Talus is 2 inches longer.
