I needed an omnitech , short jacket with a lining for the cooler, wet, hiking days in Wa. State. I won't have the opportunity to wear it until the Fall. However, the fit and length are perfect, and the lining is just enough, and not bulky. I especially like the elasticized sleeves at the wrist to keep out the cold. This joins 2 other omnitech jackets, one short and one long, which are unlined. They keep me totally dry, and never make me sweat. The fabric truly is breathable. This is the best investment for use in the wet, pacific northwest.

I actually returned this; however, it was a very nice jacket and definitely worth the money. I just wanted a longer snowboard type jacket. Sierra Trading has WONDERFUL customer service and the exchange was SO simple.
If you want to layer I would recommend going with a size L.

I'm 5'3 and 135 lbs. and a 36" chest. I bought a medium and it has some room (I had considered a small, but I'm sure that would have been too small). So I'm not sure if a medium would fit you; if you wouldn't wear a lot of layers under I think it would, with layers maybe a large. Hope that helps.
