I walk 3-4 miles 4-5 days/week. These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn — so lightweight and they're like walking on pillows. I usually wear orthotics, but not with these shoes. I ordered an extra pair for fear I might not be able to get them again. I've also ordered a different styl...

Within the first week of wearing this shoe, my Achilles tendon was KILLING me. I didn't want to believe it was the shoe, but as soon as I switched to a different one I started to heal, and I haven't had any problems since I stopped wearing this shoe. I also got blisters on both pinky toes from these shoes and I've never gotten blisters from running shoes before. It also felt like I couldn't get the laces to support my foot in a way that felt comfortable. Just an ODD fit for me. I was very disappointed in this shoe.

Just started running again and bought these to replace some old Aasics Gel Kayanos that I loved. Bought them one size bigger and the shoe fits perfectly from heal to toe. However, I feel my heel lift as I walk in them. Took them for a run and did not have the same experience; no annoying lift noticed. However, I can't say I love them due to my walking experience. Good cushion; comfortable out of the box. Think the problem may be b/c they tie too low in the foot?

According to our size department this runs small and does need to be a whole size. Shoes differ from model to model with regard to fit.

I ordered 1/2 size larger and they work fine for me. I would stick with the same size that you have in the Ride.

The company has possibly changed production size runs, and the newer lasts can make the difference in what sz to select. But, in my experience, Karhu has always noted to order 1/2 sz up NOT 1 full sz up. Not sure if Sierra actually has their notation correct. You may want to ask Sierra that Q, as to where did they derive that information.||1/2 sz larger is sufficient in these shoes. The originally introduced Karhu shoes (M series) were a bit narrower, lower volume as compared to newer versions, but, overall the shoe lengths in cm are still the same per sz. So, volume could make a significant difference to someone with either very wide/narrow/high volume/low volume feet in selecting size.||Hope that helps.

It will depend on how wide your foot is. This is a standard medium width shoe, so if you are slightly on the wide side then you could possibly wear it, but your foot will swell as you walk or run with it.
