This is an overall great sun hat. It is lightweight, comfortable, breezy, and stylish. The great Australian style protects head, face, ears, and neck while looking very sharp. The edge of the brim has a discrete wire hidden inside the fabric, that can be adjusted to keep the shape of the brim. T... Read More

Nice light weight hat, but no sweat band.

Great price on a summer hat. Although it runs a little large, it keeps the sun off and stays fairly cool.

Bought this for my fella. I have one that doesn't have the mesh (same brand) and he wanted a ventillated one. He's used it for kayaking several times and gives it the seal of approval. The only problem with both is they don't have a sweat band. But for the price, good hats. Nice length of brim for sun protection.

Just what I was looking for, save for an absorbent headband. Rim is adjustable for the bendy band around its outside. The mesh just works. Synthetic seals the deal. May be the last one I ever buy.

My head measures 22 inches and I can wear both the small and large which fits best when I wear a head band beneath it as a sweat barrier. If this is a closeout because Kakadu is replacing it with a "better" hat, I don't know what they could possibly do to improve it. SIX stars for this hat!

    • Answer I do not recommend squashing this hat into a bag, as it will crease and not look as good once removed.

    • Answer I probably wouldn't recommend it as the mesh would probably break and give way if you did that. I think you'd probably end up with all kinds of little twig looking things sticking out of your hat where the mesh has broken.

    • Answer Probably not, will look a little rumpled.

    • Answer I haven't ever intentionally crushed mine but it has gotten squashed a few times and the mesh and canvas comes back okay. Can't really comment on repeated crushing since I don't purposely crush my hats but when they've been inadvertently crushed they've survived just fine. The brim seems to have a wire frame so I guess it would depend on the size of the saddle bag and how you crushed it and how small you crushed it whether the brim would come back or not. I've not bent my brims to know if the frame would come back but they do seem quite flexible.

    • Answer I bought a medium and I wear a 7 1/8 riding hat. I like the way it fits. It's snug, but not tight so it stays on & doesn't move around.
