Although this is a midweight, this specific sock has great cushion and hugs the foot well, doesn't slide or fall down...I've ordered this sock
twice before and would order again because when one finds a sock they like it seem to be discontinued. The sole of the Bridgedale doesn't become crusty

Comfortable sock and I've always loved Bridgedale seconds from sierra trading post - never had issue with them until this round (I order large quantities when they have great sales) - This time around, some of the seconds are garbage and should not be sold. Unravelling thread, holes in them, inadequate stiching at the top of the sock - I plan to see if I can return them (at local sierra store). Typically, the seconds just have some bad stiching int eh lettering or maybe an slightly off square heel stitch - nothing that worries that they would fall apart too quickly. I am am still wearing Bridgedale seconds that I bought 3+ years ago and wear pretty much daily. I bought three different types of Bridgedale hikers this go around and all three had similar quality issues.

Just received and one sock is not finished-literally. One sock had the dark band sewn on the top top, the other does not. The top of the unfinished sock is a frayed end. Terrible product, easily the worst I have purchased from Sierra Trading, and since I bought them on deal flyer, the cost of returning them doesn't make it worthwhile.

If your feet are tough, these will probably be great, but compared to Bridgdale's MerinoFusion Summit Boot sock, they're sort of spartan. Sizing was accurate and the material seemed like it would hold its shape and wear well. They just weren't as luxurious as the merino wool that was nearly the same price.
