Got these for college student, first apartment. Great sale price! They are lined, keep out light, look neat, easy to install, haven't washed yet.

Love the color. Love the quick shipping. I didn't expect $100 quality for the price I paid, but the product is a bit flimsier than I would have expected. I suspect with a few washings and the climate in Arizona, I will be back in the market for another set of tab-tops within a year.

Good quality, reasonably heavy fabric for the price. The wrinkles in the fabric need to be ironed out. ( We tried steaming the wrinkles, but that didn't work for some reason.) Some of the curtains are slightly longer by about an inch, so you have to be carefull and match the lenghts, when using multiple pairs on a window. The only reason they don't get a "5-star" rating is because some of the packages are mismarked for length. We had to send some back, due to them being longer than what was marked on the package, twice, once on the original order and again on the replacement order. However, Sierra Customer Service was good, and the final shipment was hand checked for the length ordered and was correct.

The curtains are of great quality for their price. I saw other postings mentioned a bad smell. These curtains did not have any smell to them.

The curtains looked nice and blocked the light but the odor was so bad that we are sending them back for a refund. They smelled like dead fish.

  • Question “Are these blackout curtains?”
Asked on 5/5/2012 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • Answer The curtains will deflect some light. But, they are not classified as "black out" curtains. Thanks for asking and have a great day.

  • Question “I have a narrow window, 39". Is this product too wide or with the pleats will it look okay?”
Asked on 11/9/2011 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • Answer Each of the panels in this set would be 40" by 63" and would be sufficient for a narrow window with measurement of 34" wide by 63 " long. Even with the extra 6" and assuming that there are 6 tabs along each panel and that you are a seamstress or have someone who could sew for you, you might be able to split them in the center. You would then have 3 inches on each center to be adequate for a seam and you would then have a pair for your narrow window.

    • Answer Here's what I did with my windows. I like a lot of light so I only use one panel per window. Because of the thickness of the fabric (thermal factor) it is a bit stiff. It might block the majority of the light coming through your window if you use two with the pleats and all. Does that help?
Answered on 12/18/2011 12:00:00 AM by Vermonter from Barre, VT
    • Answer I think it will look nice. The tabs will make pretty subtle waves, rather than deep pleats.

    • Answer If all you're worried about is covering the windows, yes they will work. However, these are made to be pleated and might look odd (flat) with only one panel per window.
