Use for walking on gravel and paved roads. Slight rubbing on upper foot but I have bony, narrow feet. Need orthotic for my flat feet. Minimal support in shoe. Good traction, mobility, and room in toe area. Could use some cushioning in heel area but I have narrow heel.
Best Uses: Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Needs orthotic, Paved Trails
Cons: Poor Arch Support, Poor Cushioning
Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Lightweight

I got these for walking in Ireland where it rains alot. Tried them out while working in a wetland area and so far my feet have remained dry. They are comfortable enough but I plan to add an additional insole cushion. I guess because they are lightweight the cushioning seems a bit thin. I have had 3 other pair of Hi-Tec shoes and loved all but the one pair which was more of a traditional heavy hard soled hiker. The lightweight pairs are the bomb and my first pair I bought about 3 days before going on a month long trip. I wore them every day and they were super comfortable. I would say you can't go wrong with Hi-Tecs!
Best Uses: Everyday, Muddy Conditions, Paved Trails
