Most Helpful 5-Star Review

I am sold on these polyester practice suits. The last one I bought (the finals funkies) has lasted a YEAR. I swim one or twice a week in the winter and three or four (or five) times a week in the summer. Nylon/lycra suits barely last three months, and by the end of six they are saggy and transparent... I am a consistent size 34 in most competitive suits and in Uglies I have ordered in the past. This suit fabric is stiffer than most and hard to get into. Once you are in the water it gives a bit more and is fine.

This fits exactly like all the other Dolfin Uglies that I have worn. Many stores still carry this at a higher price too although the Uglies prints are always changing. It does have a little lycra in it so it will not last as long as the 100% poly ones will.

I do deep water pool exercise because of spinal injuries, so I am in a pool almost daily. Suits tend to wear thin and become unintentionally revealing. With this suit, I do not have to worry about it. This is my first Dolfin suit and I am impressed by the quality and fit of the suit. Follow the recommendations for sizing by bust size - plus a size or 2. I normally wear a size 4 in clothing and a 36 fits fine. It truly is tug-less, which may seem a small item, but large in comfort. I love the bright colors, too. This suit is cut a bit higher in the leg and lower in the back than I normally would choose, but looks ok and is not too revealing. So glad I tried it.

I am a 50 year old masters swimmer who swears by these practice suits. I am 5-8 and 130 lbs. I can wear a 30 if I want it real tight or a 32. The nice thing about these suits is they don't ride up even if you go to the smaller size. The colors never fade and they last as long as any Speedo I've purchased. I swim about 3200m 4 days a week and the suit will last about 3 months. I tend to move on to another suit as soon as they get the least bit stretched out. And at these prices I can afford to. : ) Thanks STP!

    • Answer Measure their busts, but order the next size, or if you want to last the whole season, consider 2 sizes larger depending on the girls height. I ordered 26, but wasn't long enough for the girls, but fit around a little to snug. They are petite 9 and 10 year olds.

    • Answer My youngest daughter wears an 8/10 and we got her the 26, my middle child wears a 12 and we got her a 30, and my oldest wears a 14/16 (girls) and she wears the 32. They all fit perfectly and they now have 3 each thanks to Sierra Trading Post!
