Question
“My husband is looking to by more carhartt t-shirts for work, He has two but the labels are worn out. They are heavy duty, they have a pocket and the sleeve goes to the elbow. He really likes these shirts because the sleeves go to the elbow. Is there a certain item number we need to look for in the tag to make sure when we order that we are getting a shirt that goes to the elbow.”

Answer
These are Carhartt style k87 which I believe is what your husband has since the only other T-shirt with a pocket is a light weight T. The care tag that is on the side hem about at the waist should have K87 on it at the bottom of the tag.

Question
“What makes these t-shirts seconds?”
Asked on 7/19/2012 12:00:00 AM by capnlarry from Lincoln, Ne
Answer
2nds are items with barely perceptible blemishes or slight irregularities that do not affect fit, performance or longevity such as an error in the stitching or a slight fading of the product’s color. Labels on 2nds are usually clipped or marked by the manufacturer, and 2nds are often offered at lower prices.

Answer
From the question posted, I am not sure about your specific issue but if it is fit and fabric weight/content I am unhappy with my latest Carhardtt purchases as well. The material is lighter weight than my older shirts and the fit seems tighter than a similarly sized older tee. I have probably gone through a 100 of their tees in 20 years and remember what amazing shirts they were. They are still better than a Hanes Beefy-T but I miss the made in USA product of past years. I am not just a grumpy old man but simply someone who has lived and worked in these shirts for a long, long time.

Question
“I am looking for a comfortable, fast drying t shirt after washing it (for travel). There are two that are cotton/polyester and the others cotton. Does it matter which I order?|Along with this t shirt are there any economical t shirts that will do?”
Asked on 10/28/2010 12:00:00 AM by Don from Pell City, AL
Answer
You do not want to purchase any cotton item as they are not quick dry. You will want a shirt made out of polyester or nylon or a combination of both, but no cotton.
