I am very impressed with how comfortable these are to sleep on. They look so thin, it's hard to imagine they'd do much to cushion my tired bones from the ground- but they're great! Even on the hardwood floor of a lean-to, I slept practically as well as at home.

I was so pleasantly surprised how comfortable this sleepng pad is! The padding is more than sufficient and the fact that the two can be velcroed together is GREAT for sleeping together! I was so impressed that Imhave now purchased 3 of them for family camping!! Thank you!

Slept great is very comfortable. Took very little effort to inflate (just let it sit for a few minutes, then exhale into it a few times to fully inflate). it is definitely perfect for car camping i would definitely not try to take this backpacking.

It took us 5 years of searching for the perfect car camping sleeping pads, we've finally found them in these mats! Warmer & easier to deal with than queen inflatable mattresses (and much less likely to get a hole, as has happened twice w/queen air mattress!). Easy to use, though a bit difficult to pack up...worth it for the comfort, though. I made a flannel sheet that fits over the 2 attached mattresses, perfect!

We have only inflated them in the house to try them out, but they are very nice. Seem well made, good quality and very comfortable. One reviewer said that her kids can sleep on them when they have friends over and it is true, they make a comfy extra bed if needed so another use besides camping. Nice how they velcro together as well. Definately for car camping as they are heavy, but nice they come in seperate bags.

I've been using one as a single pad, but haven't used these together as a double size yet. I've slept with it on the ground (tent), on a cot and on a piece of plywood in the cargo area of my Outback. It has always provided a comfortable night's sleep and good insulation from the cold ground. The only drawback is getting the air out to roll it up. It takes me 2 or 3 roll-ups to force enough air out to be able to get it back in the stuff sack. But it's a THICK cozy pad so I don't mind the extra effort.

To inflate the mat you simply open the valves at the top of the air pad and the air begins to get sucked into the pad. When it is inflated you just close the valves. These are made from polyurethane open cell foam. Alps has a video explaining how the pads work that you can view here if you would like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t67Pprcp0Jg
