I really like these socks. They are well made with a very tight knit. They do not have a cushioned insole type addition in them like some other socks sometimes do(...think smartwool and bridgedale here...). I have size 11.5 American narrow feet, not super huge as feet go, but certainly large, too large for "one size fits all" socks usually. So when I buy socks I seek those which make "large" sizes. These L/XL were small. Not only where they small, they appeared to have very little wool in their construction, although they claim a large percentage (68%), but in fact they feel basically totally nylon with a padded wool area just on the sole.

I wear theses primarily for running. They are not too bulky, are quite stretchy, soft and cushy, and keep my feet nice and dry feeling.

  • Question “Is this wool sock adapted to hot weather?”
Asked on 4/13/2014 2:21:12 AM by hike beginner ASDF from Delaware
    • Answer yes it does. I found that if you wear crocodile shoe it not comfortable to wear wool sock.
Answered on 4/13/2014 7:32:54 AM by happyfeet from iowa
    • Answer It is a lightweight wool sock, with just a little cushioning on the foot bottom. It helps wick away moisture. I would say it's perfect for a spring or summer hike.
