Definately order 1 size up. Wisconsin weather temp was about 34 degrees, after about 20 minutes of walking, toes began to get cold (regular socks worn). Boot is a bit narrow. So far seems to be waterproof. If you are looking for a light weight boot, this is a good boot. The boot has a nice appearance.

I have owned several pairs of HiTech hiking boots over the years that were a perfect fit. But these boots didn't come close to fitting me. My size is 7-1/2 and it was recommended that I purchase an 8 because they ran small. That is an understatement - this boot was so small I could barely squeeze a foot in with a shoe horn it was so tight - maybe 6-1/2 would have been a better size for this boot. This was a nice looking waterproof boot that I would have enjoyed wearing, but was so disappointed I couldn't return them soon enough. I sent them back the day after receiving them - very disappointed. Also out the cost of two-way shipping!

Unusual fit. Loose heel but tight on the top of the foot....and I have pretty average size 7 feet. May be well made, but looks cheap. Had to return, bought Khombu instead.

I loved these for as long as they lasted (2 winters). They were warm and waterproof, yet looked cute with dresses and weren't too warm when I went indoors (I always wore smartwool socks with them). However, the side zippers broke as did the decorative buttons. If they'd held up for 5 years, I'd recommend them, but as someone with a limited budget, I prefer to buy more expensive goods that truely last (like Keens).

Good boot, bought for something I could ride my bike or walk to work in but that would still look nice in a professional setting. It achieves both those things. The height of the boot is slightly awkward- maybe just a little lower on the leg than I thought. And I think the brown color is a better option to see the detailing on the shoe... Overall good though!
    • Cons: Color, Height Of Boot
    • Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Lightweight
    • Sizing: Feels half size too small

    • Answer Other customers find that these boots keep them warm walking through city slush, and they should be fine for your outdoor walks. On cold days, you may want to wear them with thick, warm socks. The boots are built with Thermo-Dri® construction and 200 grams of Thinsulateâ„¢ insulation.

  • Question “1. My foot is narrowish. I normally wear a 6 1/2. Is the size 7 likely to fit?||2. How warm is this? Should it work in the cold Chicago temps and snow?(walking the dog and short walks ~a mile or so? Outside for an hour or 2 at a time?”

    • Answer It is a standard width shoe and is true to size. This is a warm boot that I would not wear for long periods of time.
