Construction is sturdy and the bag works fine for everyday use. Does seem to ride really high on your back, takes a little getting used to. No shifting around on your back though, and the straps are comfortable. Just the right size, not too big but can hold plenty.

I did my research and chose this bag for the small size and for the number of ways to customize and carry equipment externally. I can pack it with my laptop and a thorough overnight bag and it's snug. The pack isn't thick like other bags and therefore allows me and my bag to move as one streamlined being when in crowded spaces. I love that the chest strap is on a small slider which allows you to move it up or down by about 6 inches because women are not all shaped the same! I've tried it on my 2 sisters and we found that the pack can be adjusted to fit a size 4, A cup and a size 14, DDD cup. One complaint I have is that the main straps have such a long tail hanging (which would be used up if I was a lot bigger) that I'm probably going to cut them and sew them so they are not always in the way. The hip straps have a long tail as well, but there's a nifty elastic band holding the extra rolled up in place. I guess I could stitch some elastic around the main strap to hold those tails rolled up in place, too. All in all, I am pleased with this purchase and can't wait to put all of its buckles and gadgets to full use.

This day pack is listed on the STP site as a women's day pack, but when it arrives, the tags all say GIRLS pack. I tried it on anyway, since returning it was a nuisance, but I'm a size 4, and the pack was still too small for me.

Overall I am very happy with this backpack and the money that I saved when I bought it too. I use this for when I ride on my street bike. It fits very close to my body so i don't notice it while I am riding even when I am carrying heavy stuff. The outside of the backpack is made from heavy duty material and zippers. Though I do wish it was just a little bit bigger, but even then i can carry: a binder and text book, pants, shirt, tennis shoes, and along with my school utensils. The other thing I wish was different was that i wish that the material that separates the compartments was a more durable material though I haven't had and problems yet.
