These were purchased for around the garage and home - not in the mountains. I don't think these have an aggressive enough sole for in the hills - but that isn't their purpose. My husband traps and when he gets home with muddy wet boots, he can change into these and go to the garage and finish his fur handeling. Great pair of boots.

Answer I threw away the box - but after looking at them I would say yes but very little. Maybe 200 grams of thinsulate. Not like your heavily insulated boots.
