My wife got me these socks to gear up for the Bataan Death March. I use them for 20 mile walks and hikes. There is cushioning in all the correct places for walking/hiking and they do not bunch up. Great socks, we will be getting more of these.

The Bridgedale light hiker socks are perfect for the Autumn or Spring weather. My wife and I wear the same size of hiking socks so we often share.

My father is very picky about the socks he wears. These are the best [...] socks he's ever worn. Being a construction worker for 44 years has taken a toll on his feet. They are the only thing he wears and expects them as the only gifts he needs

This shocks are not better than normal cool max shocks.

I do not know what differs merino wool shock from normal wool shock.

Perhaps, It has I think a problem that is the percentage of merino wool.

I don't want to buy it again.

    Good luck!

I'm on my feet a lot, in boots, on concrete in boiler rooms and my feet feel better wearing these.
I don't know why and mostly don't care but my feet stay dry and comfortable.

Great socks, but one pair should have never been shipped -- they were obviously full of pulls and runs. STP replaced, but I had to go to the trouble to print out return labels, pack and take to UPS.
