I am 5'4", 125 lbs, usually wear a small. I bought a medium, and it was tight everywhere. I will just have to try again, because I really want a new jacket!

I worried the sleeves would be too long, but they are OK (I am 5'5"). It is stylish, not too bulky, and will be great on medium cold days with one or two under layers.

Answer It is insulated and will be warm enough to ski in by itself. Of course that is going to depend on a number of factors. I.E. just how cold it is, your physiology etc..
