XXL fits well, great layer for a chilly day and active wear. I have several of these and they wash and wear great. Recommended

The red is a very attractive bright red with a hint of blue. Not dull at all like the maroon-ish picture so beware of you don't like bright red. The material is very soft and thin which would allow for wearing to the office on casual Fridays and not be too warm. Perfect weight for layering to keep warm or to wear winter biking/running so you don't overheat. It would be an excellent pack to have in your back pack just "in case" you need something warmer, because once folded it hardly noticeable. Excellent to take to Florida or warm states to have something soft and cozy to wear on cool nights.

If you want a technical layer this isn't for you. Tailoring and seams are equivalent to a thrift dept store private label. It's best use is as a sweater substitute, but boxy at that. I purchased this to replace a lost ultra-lite technical fleece, no longer available, and was not satisfied for that use. With that said, Very, very basic construction, no features beyond the well done NorthFace logo embroidery. I'm keeping it but will use it as a sweatshirt.

Nicer than my old patagonia version. Fits correctly. Nice, very lightweight layer.
