I bought these for my husbands GORETEX workboots as they sounded like they would give him comfort and support while on his feet for long hours, these sounded perfect. Unfortunately,I didn't look at the USERS GUIDE that will inform you that you shouldn't wear with waterproof liners, that was a couple of clicks away. Can't say anything about performance as I don't know if I can justify keeping expensive insoles that don't have a home.

After researching & buying these inserts for my husband, I opened them up to find a disclaimer for boots with waterproofing membranes. As I bought them for his GORE-TEX work boots, I was really bummed. Apparently the tough material on the bottom of the heels can rip the membrane. I wish that info would have been available on the product info before buying them. I cannot say anything about the insets themselves, just diappointed info wasn't there.

Toss out the inserts that came with your backpacking boots—they weren't meant to be used for real—they were just meant to help you size the boot at the time of purchase. To maximize the comfort and ergonomics of your hiking boot, you have to get replacement inserts that were made for the job. These inserts are it.

Solved chronic foot pain while hiking for me. I've used them for many hundreds of miles backpacking and dayhiking as well in my mountaineering boots. The insoles that come with shoes and boots are worthless. Now I replace them immediately.

I love the feel of them, they are the best insoles so far. They are a general size, so since I have a very narrow foot and long arch, I bought a size F in mens (11.5-13), and cut it down to a size 9.5 in womens. I think they are too expensive, but they sure have helped my back and keep me going longer.

    • Answer The materials used to make the insoles are different and the SuperFeet green is a unisex insole. Other then that they are very similar.
