Great jacket. I keep is stuffed in my pack or jersey pocket for those cool down hill sections after a long climb on the bike. Perfect for adding a little wind protection or keeping the chill from a light drizzle away.

Use it for running - it makes a great windbreaker in Colorado weather. Fits true to size

I got this as a light jacket for running and general wear. So far this has been exactly what I hoped for. It knocks some of the chill off in very cold winters in Florida (haha, that was a joke) and appears to be quite good a blocking light rain. This has quickly become my go to light jacket.

This jacket is special for those doing sports and need comfort and wind protection.
Also has reflective details, so yes, could be larger or more visible..
  • Verified Buyer Reviewed by DD from Central TX on Wednesday, November 26, 2014
I live in Central TX, so just needed a super light and breathable shell to take the edge off of cold windy runs. Not a hoody guy, but appreciate and use the extra protection on the head & ears when starting out on a warmup walk before running. Useful chest zip pocket (its stuff sack) but no hand pockets. Like the standout orange color & reflective accents for dusk/night runs. Trim fit but true to size for me (L). Good value at the STP DealFlyer price. Always like Marmot quality and this is just right for my frequency of use & comfort range. Won't keep you warm if standing still, but ups the comfort factor when moving around.

  • Question “How breathable do you find this jacket to be when active”
Asked on 12/14/2014 10:36:13 PM by Belted Buckaroo from West of the Great Laramie Divide
    • Answer Very breathable, never clammy, soft and flexible against the skin.
Answered on 12/15/2014 12:25:22 AM by Pacific Rider from SF Bay Area
    • Answer It's plenty breathable but will get soaked if you sweat a lot, like I do when running. After a windy run, I notice it dries very fast when I'm cooling down and still outdoors. I've done some runs in it when in the 30F's and windy and I really like the way it takes the sting out of a cold wind and yet I stay cool and comfortable inside. Like the hoody to protect my ears from biting wind. Perfect for what I bought it for........super lightweight wind protection and stores down to virtually nothing when packing it on a trip and space limited. I live in Central TX, so days in the 20F's are rare, so haven't tested it in very cold conditions........would wear appropriate layers underneath for very cold.

    • Answer I find the jacket to be moderately breathable. It's light weight and wind-resistant and well constructed.

    • Answer Hard to say, since I'm not sure how to objectively rate breathability and I got it after most of the warmer weather had passed for the season. Its extremely light weight (the merest shell) and has rather open mesh under the arms and at the back of the neck. The couple of times I did wear it, I wasn't doing anything very strenuous.

That's the best I can do, other than to add that its very thin/lightweight and its of high quality.
Answered on 12/15/2014 10:01:33 AM by Larry L from Baltimore, MD
    • Answer Its not especially loose fitting. I wear a medium and I just now tried it on with just a short sleeve T shirt. It fit fine and looked fine. There was some extra room, but not a lot. I'd say you could wear something a little heavier than a T shirt under it, but I wouldn't think you could wear anything too bulky under it. All depends on what you plan to wear under it and if you size up, presumably the sleeves and length will still be right for you. Hope this answered your question. This jacket is a nice shell, average roominess, but especially roomy though.

    • Answer Not a snug fit. I would buy your regular size.
Answered on 11/22/2014 11:20:17 PM by Guitar Guy from new england
    • Answer Yes. Buy up one size. The arms are generous but it is slim waist. I got a Medium and the waist is most likely 32-33" at the bottom. Great jacket, though. It breathes well, packs up small and has some style to it.
