Great jacket. I keep is stuffed in my pack or jersey pocket for those cool down hill sections after a long climb on the bike. Perfect for adding a little wind protection or keeping the chill from a light drizzle away.

Light, efficient, and perfect for either the trail or in your daypack when the weather might turn.

I owned two of these, one larger for over a sweatshirt+ in cold weather, one smaller for over just a wicking top. Love them both so much I just bought three more.

And the black ones I have look great, not like wearing your hiking clothes out for the evening.

Jacket is great for my early morning runs. Fits well, really light weight and the hood comes in handy when it starts to drizzle. Has well placed mesh venting to help keep you cool. Elastic around the wrist could be just a tad looser and would bet even better with side pockets. Plan on buying another one as backup.

It is as described...it is extremely thin which makes it ultra light weight. It still keeps you quite warm considering it is so thin. I can definitely roll it up tight and fit it into my pocket. Only thing is that I wish was different is the pocket location. I am so use to having the pockets at the bottom near the zipper. But overall, it is a great jacket and the description was definitely on the spot.

  • Question “How breathable do you find this jacket to be when active”
Asked on 12/14/2014 10:36:13 PM by Ol' Comfy Bottoms from West of the Great Laramie Divide
    • Answer Very breathable, never clammy, soft and flexible against the skin.
Answered on 12/15/2014 12:25:22 AM by Pacific Rider from SF Bay Area
    • Answer It's plenty breathable but will get soaked if you sweat a lot, like I do when running. After a windy run, I notice it dries very fast when I'm cooling down and still outdoors. I've done some runs in it when in the 30F's and windy and I really like the way it takes the sting out of a cold wind and yet I stay cool and comfortable inside. Like the hoody to protect my ears from biting wind. Perfect for what I bought it for........super lightweight wind protection and stores down to virtually nothing when packing it on a trip and space limited. I live in Central TX, so days in the 20F's are rare, so haven't tested it in very cold conditions........would wear appropriate layers underneath for very cold.

    • Answer I find the jacket to be moderately breathable. It's light weight and wind-resistant and well constructed.

    • Answer Hard to say, since I'm not sure how to objectively rate breathability and I got it after most of the warmer weather had passed for the season. Its extremely light weight (the merest shell) and has rather open mesh under the arms and at the back of the neck. The couple of times I did wear it, I wasn't doing anything very strenuous.

That's the best I can do, other than to add that its very thin/lightweight and its of high quality.
Answered on 12/15/2014 10:01:33 AM by Larry L from Baltimore, MD
    • Answer Its not especially loose fitting. I wear a medium and I just now tried it on with just a short sleeve T shirt. It fit fine and looked fine. There was some extra room, but not a lot. I'd say you could wear something a little heavier than a T shirt under it, but I wouldn't think you could wear anything too bulky under it. All depends on what you plan to wear under it and if you size up, presumably the sleeves and length will still be right for you. Hope this answered your question. This jacket is a nice shell, average roominess, but especially roomy though.

    • Answer Not a snug fit. I would buy your regular size.
Answered on 11/22/2014 11:20:17 PM by iplagitr from new england
    • Answer Yes. Buy up one size. The arms are generous but it is slim waist. I got a Medium and the waist is most likely 32-33" at the bottom. Great jacket, though. It breathes well, packs up small and has some style to it.

    • Answer Yes, I would suggest going with the larger size.
