But she instantly put this on! & wears it constantly now. SmartWool is great! because it breathes, it holds in heat, but not too much heat, and it's not itchy! This hat is also super-cute! which doesn't hurt And it coordinates with lots of different colors. We'll certainly get our wear out of this hat. It's not especially cheap, but it's great quality. Oh - as far as sizing goes, I bought a kid's large. Grandbaby is 6 & salesclerk thought I might need a smaller size, but it fits great and although she's tall for her age, I don't think she has an especially large head. Thanks again.

Answer The size S/M will fit kids heads that measure 20 1/2 to 21 inches and the L/XL fit heads that measure 21 1/2 to 22 inches.
