Used the tent this weekend for the first time. Very easy to set-up. Very packable for an adventure motorcycle. Weather was good, so I don't know about ability in the rain, but all of the tent seams appear to be of high quality.

There is no footprint; I used a cheap 8x10 tarp. The short side of t... Read More

Got this last week and went car camping this weekend. Very easy to set up. Lightweight. Best of all it stood up to the elements. We had a severe storm roll through at 2am that lasted for hours. Dropped about 1.2" of rain in two hours with heavy winds. We were dry and secure inside. A little water blew under the fly and got our shoes wet in the vestibule area, but given how hard the wind and rain were, I was impressed that was all that happened.

This is a well-made, well-designed tent, particularly for someone who car camps and doesn't need a huge tent. You could use it for backpacking, but if you're trekking serious miles, you might want to haul something slight lighter.

Like all three-person tents, this is good really for two. Or two not-too-huge adults and a child.

It's got a couple of things going for it: It's easy to put up. It's sturdy in the weather. I used it at a festival recently with multiple nights of rain and high winds. Everything stayed bone dry. The double door/double vestibule system is great. You can get up to take a leak in the middle of the night without having to crawl over your significant other. Plus, there's good space for leaving muddy boots, raincoats, etc., outside your sleeping area and still protected from the rain.

This is a less expensive version of Marmot's Limelight. Get this one. You lose the footprint. (I'm not handy, but I made one easily for about $10 {Footprints should be slightly smaller than the bottom of your tent. Their purpose is to protect the tent from wear and tear.}) And you lose the storage loft (which might be mildly helpful, but it would take away headroom.

Finally, I love the all-mesh tent. Great ventilation in all configurations. Perfect to use without the fly on clear nights when all you need to keep out is the bugs and snakes.

This tent withstood a rainy and windy car camping debut this weekend. Easy to set up and plenty of room inside for two and gear. Can't wait to take it backpacking this week!

I liked this tent from the moment I first set it up in my yard. It's nicely sized for two people; would be very tight for three. Easy to set up. Nice big doors and vestibules. Great quality and good attention to details. I especially like the adjustable buckles that enable one to make the fly very taut. No places where the fly can droop onto the tent body if rainy. Yay! Only thing missing is a ground sheet. I'll probably wind up making one. Never-the-less, a very good buy!
