The inside seams were so rough that there is no way that one can wear these without socks. The rough seams left abrasion marks as soon as my daughters put them on. They immediately took them off and refused to wear them. The shoes are quite stiff so not sure how much damage to feet it would take to break them in. Returned them.

They aren't too narrow for my wide feet and the adjustable straps on the heels make them fit really well. I also like that the lacing isn't made of elastic like a lot of other shoes, but what feels like a nylon cord so they won't stretch out. I can't comment on their durability, but I'm looking forward to wearing these on a rafting trip this summer.
