The picture makes it look thinner than it turned out to be so I was expecting a spring/fall jacket. It turned out to be more of a winter jacket which is okay with me as we have plenty of winter where I live.

Reviewed by James from Ohio on Sunday, March 17, 2013I had previously bought a Carhartt jacket some years ago. Loved that jacket, but for some of us as we get older we tend to gain a few pounds. I needed another work jacket so I decided to buy another Carhartt jacket. It has that same Carhartt quality, style and fit. It is a little lighter in weight than the one I prevously had, but I think that had more to do with the style jacket I choose. Still all in all a good Jacket.

Answer The specs are listed on the specs tab of the product page. The jacket weighs 3lbs 6oz. I would say it could be used for both seasons depending on how you layer under it.
