I have made wool my under layers again and bought this for my husband. The fit is good as is the quality. It's not as fine at the regular Icebreaker line but it is less expensive.

I use the Icebreaker Redram pants every single day in Houghton, MI in the upper peninsula. I am entirely comfortable wearing only these and my "Marker" snow pants in 3 degrees F and 30 degrees F while skiing, ice climbing, or standing around during Winter Carnival. They fit great under all types of clothing and they have taken over for my hot chili's which are too warm. I believe the wool does a better job than synthetics of regulating temperature no matter what the exterior temp is and it provides that same regulation regardless of perspiration. I would be sweating in lower quality long johns during class and ski patrol if it weren't for the redrams.
