This works great for meals or boiling water for one to two people. I am able to fit my stainless steel cup a towel, my stove inside it and the canister of fuel fits on top of it inside the nice mesh carrying bag.

Nice small kettle, sized so fuel canister can nest inside (with stove if you have the right stove.) Drain holes in the lid are a clever feature.

Great backpacking pot for cooking rice or warming up food. I used this pot for cooking premade rice and meat. It did well but, you will have to watch your pot, as any other, because it will burn to the bottom. I like the fact it will hold 4 cups of water. Some meals will require you cook two cups of water but, after you add the rice or anything else the pot will overflow. Not this one. You can stay small and still cook your meals. The cost is way less than the titanium pots, with weight being close.

Very light, stable on the stove, and very easy to use. Like many pieces of outdoor cookwear, this was specifically designed to nest a fuel cartridge and other neccesities inside the kettle so it saves room in your pack. I was able to include the stove in the mesh sack that the pot comes in and had a nice, contained and organized cookset. Highly reccomended.

  • Question “I have a MSR Whisperlight stove that I wanted to pair with this pot kit...will a small fuel canister fit inside of this?”
Asked on 2/14/2012 12:00:00 AM by HillHopper from Willard, MO
    • Answer I didn't have a whisperlight stove or an MSR fuel Canister, but I was able to fit about half of my Nalgene in the kettle with room to spare on the sides. I think it should work out great for you.

    • Answer If it is the same size as Jet Boil Fuel than it should fit.

    • Answer I've owned a Whisperlite for decades, and have the 11 oz., 22 oz. & 33 oz. fuel bottles for the stove, as well. Although the pot looks to be large enough to contain either the 4 oz. or 8 oz. isobutane canisters (and maybe even the big 16 oz. ones, if you can find them), along with a small canister stove, it will definitely NOT be able to contain even the small 11 oz. MSR fuel bottle. And MY Whisperlite doesn't use fuel canisters...just the MSR fuel bottles. Get the difference in terminology?
