These boots are warm enough, and are waterproof up to the level of the tongue, but if you get heavy, wet snowfall, like we do in Toyama, Japan, then plan on your socks getting wet on the treck to work. For commuters who only have to jump in the car, these may work, but if you have a 6km walk to work in the snow, these aren't the boots for you.

I am very pleased with the overall construction of these boots. Too bad I won't be wearing these barefooted because the sheepskin lining is very soft. I'm certain these will keep my feet and ankles warm on the coldest of Santa Fe winter days.
