I purchased this in purple for my 4-year old daughter. She loves it. The color is great and the style is really cute. The coat seems warm even though it is very low bulk. There are TONS of pockets (outside and inside), almost an amusing number of them. The only negative is that there are built ...

This is another quality Columbia product! I love that it has built in cuffs, so that the jacket is better at keeping snow out of the sleeves! This jacket also has a separate waistband you can button, so that it fits snugger around the waist when your child is playing in the snow, which is great! I got this jacket for my 7 year old twin daughters. I got a size 6x as they are small for their age (45in, 43lbs). The 6x was perfect if not still a little big which is what I wanted. The wrist sleeves on the inside are snug (but not too tight), they are meant to keep the snow out. This jacket also has a snow skirt on the inside. It is really a perfect winter jacket! The girls really love them. I got the Purple (purple and dark grey) and the Tawny (grey and pink) jackets. I could not be happier!

This was a gift for my 4-year-old niece who is starting to get very specific ideas about what she wants to wear. She liked the deep pink lining of the tawny jacket...her mom liked everything else about it especially the warmth without bulk. Two notes: the "tawny" looks more like steel grey to me and -if you want the jacket to last two winters - order a size up. The 4/5 fits her fine for now. (She's 3'4" and weighs 35 lbs). But I kind of wish I had bought the 6/6x.
