I can dress them up with a skirt and wear them to work or tuck jeans in them and wear them on a date with my husband. They are darling both ways! They look expensive (they are expensive boots)and I love that you don't see many boots around with the wool top-different than the run of the mill black boot! I love them and I recommend them highly!

When these arrived, I noticed some ink from the inside of the boots that "bled" to the outside and was quite noticeable. I sent them back and had replacements in a few days. I did get dinged for some additional shipping charges, but the price of the boots was great so it seemed OK.
The Frye Veronica Slouch Boots are not waterproof. They will be some what water resistant

Not very, the bottoms are leather, the top is a nice dark grey felt.

I have not worn them in water so I can't say for sure.|The portion that covers the lower leg is wool, so you wouldn't want to cross a stream in them, but I plan to wear them in snow and rain and think they'll be fine. The sole has a rubber grippy part over the leather so that probably helps with the water proofing as well.
