This is a great coat. It is extra long which is nice for keeping in a little more warmth. It is stylish and extremely comfortable. The hood is insulated and has extra room and could probably fit around a helmet. But it tends to droop over my face without a hat on. I've been wearing it for hours at a... Read More

A bit heavy but good if you are not trying to pack it. Haven't tried it yet in the cold. Runs a little large. I am 5-11 185 lbs and medium fits good

The Material on this jacket is not bad. I just wanted something to wear everyday back and forth to work. I drive a bus so I didn't need anything fancy. Its roomy enough for layers and the hood is comfortable. I have not worn it yet in the cold weather so I cant really comment on the warmth.

This jacket looked great online, but fit like a hot air balloon when I received it and wore it for the first time. Seems well made, but the fabric is rough to the touch, too.

This jacket disappointed me immediately. First, it didn't fit well at all; everything about it felt too roomy and cheaply made. The outer fabric felt odd, as in coarse and wiry and just odd; not something that I'd want to feel again. Also, the insulation was much thinner than anticipated.

  • Question “is this good for skiing?”
Asked on 11/12/2013 6:29:56 PM by Kevin from boston
    • Answer You could use this for skiing if you choose. This jacket is insulated and is a low-bulk jacket which a lot of skiers prefer.
Answered on 11/15/2013 12:55:36 PM by Product Specialist Greg from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer This really is not designed for skiing, but it's worked for me. There is no powder skirt, but the drawstrings around the bottom hem work. The length is a bit much is proportion to the shoulders/arm length, so I need to bunch the tight hem under the bulk of the jacket. A bit awkward, but I deal with it because the stretch and softness of the material I love. Not fully waterproof, but the resistancy has been great. I ran the faucet over it to test and no water was absorbed. I wouldn't expect it to shed buckets or rain though.

  • Question “Is this jacket waterproof or resistant as well?”
Asked on 9/19/2013 11:24:58 AM by no name from new hampshire
    • Answer The jacket is water-resistant, but not waterproof.
Answered on 9/19/2013 12:15:31 PM by Prod. Spec. Kevin from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer I wouldn't trust it in a monsoon, but I tested it under the faucet. Running water directly onto it, allowing it to pool. No water absorbed.
