These shoes are perfect for canoeing and portaging. Because of using lightweight canoes, I get out of the canoe before jamming it on the shore and soaking my feet. Then I put on my pack and head out for the rugged trails filled with rocks and logs. These shoes, drain so quickly and still soaking wet, have great traction.

This shoe was recommended to me by a pool pal. Good water aerobic shoes are not easy to find if you have a high instep and need a good cushioned sole. These are great. I have a box full of new WA shoes that are not comfortable . THEY DO RUN LARGE .

I ordered these shoes for hiking and trekking around in Belize. I wanted a water shoe that wasn't a sandal. We leave in 2 weeks and I have been wearing them around without socks (no signs of becoming smelly) and they are very comfortable. Similar feeling to wearing running shoes. I think I will get different laces before we leave, because the ones they come with are a little long when you are planning on being in the water. I wore them to wash the car and deliberately sprayed them down so they were soaked. They drained out and dried quickly. Good shoes for the price, I would like to see how the new version compares.

Bought this shoes for Virgin River Zion Canyon Hiking, however water was too cold, thus cannot speak about their water drainage ability. But I used them for canyons hiking and they were great - very lightweight, very roomy, good gripping, shock absorbent, my feet love them & no rocks were stacked in the soles (despite somebody's complaints about that). To call them stylish would be a b-i-i-i-i-g stretch. To my taste they are not very attractive, otherwise I would give them 5 stars, but for hiking I would prefer performance and comfort over the style and look.
