The insole is fantastic I walk everyday and part of the walk is on gravel and rocks, these shoes absorb the shock of the rocks,exactly heat I needed! I would highly recommend these for trail walkers. I did order a half size larger because of some if the other reviews and they fit perfectly.

Reviewed by Woodentent from N.H. on Friday, May 03, 2013My old North Face shoes disintegrated when hiking on Easter so I quickly ordered these because the sizing and construction on the old ones was perfect. Alas! The toe box is not as wide on these as on other North Face shoes. Great cushioning, I wanted to keep them, but the pain in my toes was reason to send them back.

Just liked the older version's colors better, but these are a much better color than the new ones coming out. Would have given them 5 stars if not for the color.
