I had a wonderful tryout of my new "shoes" by pulling the "grands" in their sled. The grippers worked great. I look forward to using them in our woods and not pulling anyone. I have rheumatoid arthritis and have to be very picky about bindings. These worked well for my limited hands.

Great general use, affordable snowshoes. Uncomplicated yet secure bindings, with lots of mobility, giving a very sure-footed feeling in all kinds of snow. A great way to free oneself from "cabin-fever" without having to break the piggy-bank.

My husband and I bought the same pair. We have traveled several miles over the state land near us. They work great with regular hiking shoes, our feet stay dry. We use boots with them if the snow is too deep and fluffy.

I wanted some snow shoes to just go for a couple of miles on local trails when snow is too difficult to walk in. Now that I have them there is no snow. But I put them on to check ease of application. WOW simple. Compared to other pairs and brands I have borrowed in the past. Can't wait til next winter.

  • Question “I'm 5'4", 145 pounds. This will be my first pair of snow shoes. Live in RI so will sometimes be using them with just a little snow. So, would like a good, all around snowshoe. Would this be a good choice?? What would you recommend?”
Asked on 1/31/2013 12:00:00 AM by Marty from Wickford, RI
    • Answer These would be a very good choice.

  • Question “I can't tell how these buckle behind the heel. It looks like an elastic strap, but I'm sure that's not what it is. Can you tell me is there some type of heel lock device back there?”
Asked on 1/4/2013 12:00:00 AM by rtrach87 from Front Royal, VA
    • Answer The rear strap is adjusted by the second buckle on the instep of the shoe.

  • Question “These have a free rotating binding - does that mean they kick up snow with each step, or do you drag the shoe with each step?”
Asked on 2/20/2012 12:00:00 AM by Matt of Carlisle from Carlisle, PA
    • Answer It means the binding and crampon's are completely free from the rest of the snowshoe.
