My girlfriend and my mom have superlight crown xc ski for 5seasons now. They love them!I used to have rsc wax xc ski from fischer which i loved(205cm/too long).I exchanged them for superlight wax(197cm/still a bit long/used once). Now i exchanging them for these 197cm crown.Main reason for my last change is the crown at the bottom.Seeing my mom or girlfriend just rolling uphill while I'm sliding downhill instead climbing does not make me feel good about myself. They work well on groomed tracks because the small 48-44-46 side cut.If you planning to be off the tracks/bakcountry this ski is not for you.Go with BC xc ski instead.Sticker on the skis saying made in ukraine.there is word on the ski itself(austria). There is not made in austria/just the country name is there. My purchased ski are:197cm long/70-84kg/154-185lb.All is up to weight here! Not length!!Binding:your service center will need to drill holes to this skis!!! unlike my previous superlight crown skis-they come with "platform" which allowed you slide binding right in to it.These skis are perfect.I always stay with fischer and i love salomon shoes.Thank you sierra trading post!!!!Included pictures/you will receive ski on the left!

Asked on 1/8/2013 12:00:00 AM by telebabe from wisconsin/montana
    • Answer CROWN TEC: Fischer proprietary wax-less ski technology "cuts" (instead of presses) the crown pattern into the durable sintered base to ensure long lasting grip coupled with consistent glide over the life of the ski. If you click on the magnifying glass over the image of the skis you can see the base and the wax-less portion of the ski base.|http://www.fischersports.com/us/Nordic/Products/Skis/Sport/3349-Superlite-Crown
