These boots fit well (used the Mammut size conversion chart then ordered a half size down). They are very stiff yet still comfortable, and I think they will last forever once properly worn in.

Extremely comfortable, doesn't rub feet wrong, and perfect cushioning for a long hike. The only thing I see wrong with this product is if you don't wear thick socks they are big. I would highly recommend this product.

These boots are a full size too big. I wear a 9 in women's US sizes so I bought the 7.5 UK and had to exchange them for a 6.5 UK. The customer service people were great at STP. I will wear these every day once I get them broke in. They are very stiff around the ankles but that is one reason I like them. They keep my ankles from turning. The laces are hard to get tightened. I love the look and feel of these boots. I hope they last as long as they look like they will. They are very slip resistant. They are more black than dark brown, but I prefer the black.

Any hiking boot worth its salt is going to have a breaking-in period, and this boot's was not unusually long. Good enough ankle support to make carrying a load more stable, and fantastic traction, even on wet rock and snow. A word of warning: order a half size lower than you usually would, even after you adjust for the UK to US difference. For instance, I usually wear an American 6.5, I ordered a UK 4.5, which should correspond to a 6, but these are comfortable with two pair of substantial socks.

  • Question “The size conversions given from UK to US don't seem to match other International Shoe Conversion charts that I have seen. Assuming that these shoes have an innersole that is removable and completely fills the entire length and width of the interior of the shoe, would it be possible to remove an innersole and measure the length and width of a UK size 9.5 AND 10? Thank you.”

    • Answer The 9.5 measures 11-1/4" long and 3-9/16" wide. The 10 measures 11-3/8" long and 3-5/8" wide.
