I got the knives as a replacement for knives I've endured for 15 years. So far, I have really enjoyed these as a huge improvement over what I had.

These are NOT the knives the company is known for and it is a shame they put their name on them. They are not finely honed carbon steel knives. They are stamped stainless knives from China, not at all the same quality. I bought some at Costco some years back and was very glad to be able to return them. Spend the extra money for real Henckels, unless all you want is the name. Sierra does have great deals on quality products, in this category. Just avoid the Henckels International brand. They are not the same quality. Look at the materials and where they are made if in doubt.

I've found that you very much get what you pay for when it comes to cutlery. With a deal flyer I paid less than ten bucks for this set. You do the math. Duller brand new than other knives of mine that have endured years of neglect and abuse.
