Reviewed by Hot Yoga Nut from Ossipee, NH on Friday, March 08, 2013These pillows require a good airing out to dispel the "industrial" odor --- but, a week or so inside or, ideally, several days outside will do the trick. We were used to a Tempurpedic pillow so we adaapted readily to this brand. Very good value for the price. And, now that we know we should replace our pillows every 18 months, these are very affordable!! Too bad the cover isn't machine washable but we just use an extra pillow protector in addition to the pillowcase and we'll see how that goes.

It is firm e bought that it holds my head in place well but soft enough to sleep well. It did have a mild plastic smell when I first opened the package but that went away in a day.

I did not realize that the care instruction in the product description, "spot clean", referred to the zip-off pillow cover. I assumed it meant the pillow itself. I machine wash my pillow cover weekly and do not want to spot clean by hand. I have not slept on the pillow but it felt comfortable when I tried it. I agree with others that it does smell, but the smell might dissipate over time. I am returning the pillow because of the inability to completely wash the cover.

I went through quite a few before coming across this one. When I received it-just like the tempur-pedic- it has to be aired out to get rid of that odor. Then you have to adapt to its different properties. Before long, you are sleeping like a baby. I love the Pillow. Highly recommend it.
