The boots run VERY LARGE!! I wear a size 7 and when I tried the boots on they were over an inch longer! Consider this when ordering.

We live on a small farm and have llamas, goats and chickens. I slipped a few times in the snow and knew I had to get some better footwear. The Caribous are super warm and have excellent traction. I never feel like I am going to fall. They are also very warm on those ten below mornings. The only down side is the sizing. I would have liked to have the half size. I sized up from a seven to an eight, but a 7.5 would have been perfect. You need to size up if you want to wear a thick wool sock with this felt liner.

  • Question “I have one more question about this boot: It says it is not insulated. Is it just the rubber shell with a insulated foot bed? If this is so, then how can it be rated to -40?||I was told this does not have any wool content also.”
Asked on 10/24/2012 12:00:00 AM by Martha from United States
    • Answer The boot's shell is not insulated, however it has a removable ThermoPlus felt liner that is 9mm thick which provides the insulation. There is no wool because the liner is made of synthetic fibers. (polypropylene, recycled polyester, and polyester.

  • Question “Does this Caribou boot have any wool at all? I've read elsewhere that the cuff is wool/acrylic. Thank you.”
Asked on 10/18/2012 12:00:00 AM by Martha from United States
    • Answer The collar is just acrylic fleece and not wool. Sorel has a new style the Caribou Wool Boot, which is not this style. The style we have is a closeout of the older style that was not wool.
