Shoes seem to be quality materials. Haven't been able to use them yet due to sizing. I normally take a 10 in shoes. I ordered an 11 and my toes were bent in half. No problem returning them and my 12s are on the way.

I have used these shoes on both slabs and cracks in Idyllwild and Joshua Tree and they feel great. They are better for slabs because of the shape of the toe and the rand. When my foot was inside the crack the material on the top of the shoe was rubbing against the side of the crack and not the toe rand.

These are nicely designed and styled, and well made, but very hard to fit properly. I bought a full size larger than my normal and they were painfully tight. Wish they'd been available in the proper size.
    • Best Uses: Indoor climbing
    • Cons: At Least Two Sizes Small, Very Hard To Fit
    • Pros: Lace For Snug Fit, Well made nice colors

The first thing I noticed when I put them on was the padding in the tongue and the padding on the sole. The assymetrical laces enabled me to snug the fit to perfectly match my foot shape which is a problem on other climbing shoes. I tried these out on a couple of moderate trad climbs with good knobs and they worked well. Have not tried them on face climbs or small cracks. The toe rand is a little large and rounded so they may not work well in small finger cracks. Can't wait to see if they remain comfortable on multi-pitch routes.

These seem like great shoes, but I was surprised at how tight they are. I typically wear a 44 european, and I ordered these in a 44.5. My toes were completely curled all the way around. They might be alright for a short climb like this, but no way I would want to keep them on for long. Sad to send them back without the ability to get a bigger size.
