Reviewed by uncle phred from Atlanta on Tuesday, May 21, 2013I really like these shorts- they're sturdy and notably comfortable. I was looking for an alternative to Patagonia's Stand Up shorts. I needed a different pocket configuration but I didn't want cargo shorts with big thigh pockets. Like most things, there's always a design tradeoff. As substantial as these shorts are, they weigh a lot. I have to cinch my belt fairly tight to keep them from drifting southward. Still, they've become my new favorites...

Nice to have a pair of rugged shorts for walks in the woods, etc. Fit was good, color choice as well. Very satisfied.

Answer The Lake Lodge have a 10" inseam. The Alpine Utility can be ordered in inseams 7", 9" and 11".
