I use this at the cabin. Couple this jacket with the carhartt overalls and you can cut wood all winter and not tear or hurt a thing on the jacket. They are just beefy man jackets ready for the outdoors.

This jacket is great...might be my favorite Carhartt (and I own a lot of them). It's very warm, comfortable, and stylish. My only complaint is that there is no cell phone chest pocket on the outside. I love the sherpa lined pockets.

Polyester pile lining may also be called Polar Fleece. It is a Polyethylene synthetic material in a soft nap that provides insulation.

Picture synthetic sheep skin or short pile carpet.The perfect outdoor insulator as far as I am concerned.Comfy and creates a heat holding gap with outer material of coat.Most importantly it will insulate even if damp, similar to wool, but much much lighter.Material is hydrophobic so it will not absorb or retain moisture.

Fleece! Just like any other polyester fleec jacket but thicker on this Carhartt coat.
