I had the last pair 're-furbished' by an official Birkenstock repair outfit and they lasted me for several more years. The FINALLY wore out so I headed to STP for a new pair. Glad they had my size and I know I won't need any more for a while; these things last and last! And, unlike 99% of all the shoes most folks wear in this country, they are NOT made in China!

Question “How narrow is this style compared to other birkenstocks? (Since the only size available is in N.) It says that half sizes should order down. Is it bigger only in length, or is it also a little wider than a normal N?”

Answer The N is a little wider than other N's. They conform somewhat to your foot. Don't let your toes touch, as they roll up a little bit with wear.
